I’m Lisa Libutti, founder of Sleep Examiner. This site started as a personal lifeline and grew into a passion project to help others navigate the sleep health and wellness space.

What started as a deep dive into my dad’s stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis ended up being my first real look into what’s happening inside our medical and pharmaceutical systems. It also opened my eyes to what’s going on in the body, and why we each need to take our health back into our own hands.

That’s when I started learning about self-healing through juicing, whole foods, herbal tinctures, and natural protocols. I began tracking and modulating those protocols using monthly blood reports, slowly connecting the dots between nourishment, detox, and real recovery.

After years of ignoring my health issues, caregiving, and showing up for everyone but myself, I hit a wall. I had spent so much time focused on others and holding space in relationships that I completely disconnected from my own needs.

Eventually, my body had to speak louder. It started with my ears, then my jaw, then my neck… constant disruptive issues that forced me to focus on myself. That’s when it hit me: I wasn’t listening. Not to my body. Not to my energy. Not to what I needed. I wasn’t just burned out and tired; I was running in survival mode. The fuel tank was empty.

Education & Certifications

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Behavior, I’ve always been drawn to how people work, from the inside out. I’ve spent years blending my background in creative web design and content curation, turning complex ideas into clear, useful, approachable resources.

Right now, Sleep Examiner is a place to sit back, relax, and chill while digging into real research. It’s a space to find clarity, honesty, and support on your journey to better sleep.

Behind the scenes, I’m updating my internal software, currently studying for a Professional Sleep Consultant Diploma, and working toward a Naturopathy Practitioner Certification. I’m blending science with natural methods to support the nervous system, sleep, and overall well-being.
